史传中鸠摩罗什形象的转变

[提要]鸠摩罗什的传记最早出现在僧祐的《出三藏记集》。其后慧皎加以修订补充，塑造了一个饱满的高僧形象。唐代编撰前史，鸠摩罗什传编入《晋书》中，其局部形象又有了一些转变。这种转变表现出学界对鸠摩罗什接受的一个转变。本文尝试说明这种转变的意义。

Kamarajiva's biography was first found in Ven. Sengyou's **A Collection of Biographies From Tripitaka* (Chu San Zang Ji Ji). Later, Ven.
Huijiao revised
and incorporated Kumarajiva's biography into his famous text, *The Biographies of Eminent Monks*. Kumarajiva was then listed as one of the most influential foreign monks to China. In Tang Dynasty, compilation was done on many past historical biographies where Kumarajiva's biography was included in* The history of Jin *(Jin Shu). Again, his image undergone further changes. This reflects the acceptance of a foreign monk by the Chinese scholars. This essay will discuss the changes of Kumarajiva's images and the rationale behind them. |
